Shakespeare Royal Oak has announced auditions for its 25th
Anniversary Season in Royal Oak’s Starr Jaycee Park. Michigan's largest annual outdoor professional theatre festival will feature Shakespeare’s Macbeth July 24 - August 3.In person auditions are set for February 25-27 with callbacks set for a later date.

Something wicked is coming to Royal Oak – with not one witch ,but three! This summer Shakespeare Royal Oak will unveil a devilishly original streampunk-style Macbeth from visionary Detroit director Jeffrey Michael Nahan, with all the spirited spells, plots and revenge the Bard could conjure up right in the middle of Starr Jaycee Park, July 24 through August 3. Steampunk Macbeth will fill your eyes and mind with its unique style, music and moves to keep you guessing till you cheer its glorious end! So, stab your calendar now to plan your night under the stars with the area’s best professional theater artists as they reveal the plot of Shakespeare’s finest villain in one of the most feared and loved plays of all time.
Actors interested in auditioning should visit

for an audition time slot. All auditions will be in person and take place 5pm-8pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday February 25-27 at The Royal Oak Senior Center, 3500 Marais Ave, Royal Oak. All roles are open. Cast size is limited and all actors will receive compensation.Actors should prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues (less than 5 minutes combined in
length) and wear clothing that allows for freedom of movement.Shakespeare Royal Oak is committed to diversity and equality in all casting and hiring. The company
